I like silver lining moments. Moments where you can find something to smile about and to be grateful for in the midst of the chaos. Often times we complain about a lot of things that are going wrong in our dance industry, as well as things that need to be improved. Today let's focus on the good that is coming out of the chaos. Just this past weekend, two dance studios were launched: Passion en Fuego Dance Studio Kenya and TheOne Studios. Passion en Fuego Dance Studio Kenya, located along Thika Road, focuses on mental and physical fitness through dance, with a focus on Latin styles and African dances. TheOne Studios, located in Westlands, was founded by creative director, dancer, and choreographer, Chiluba, whose classes have been praised way before the launch of this studio. Whether you're looking into trying something new and different like Salsa or Tango, or something more popular like Dancehall or Afro...these are some of the studios you can check out.
What a win this is for our dance industry! At TKKDC we believe in the power of growth as a community. There's so much good happening within our industry - from dance studios being launched, to dance classes being started, to dance community outreaches, to wholistic wellness initiatives through dance...the list goes on and on. To see the growth and witness it all before our eyes is a testament of the possibility of the future. How wonderful to watch it all unfold!
